Connectivity : Broadband
Why get Broadband from a boutique service provider and not a behemoth?
USP provides more choice - you can buy additional IP numbering; we can supply (and support) Zyxel routers with multi NAT and firewall features - not just the cheapest and nastiest thing Taiwan has to offer. We won't waste your time with USB irrelevances.

The services below are not "capped", and apart from speed, another advantage of broadband is that the circuit is "always on" - meaning that once contact is established it stays on, and there is no dial up and log in time, and that the charges are flat rate.

Prices are Ex VAT; and we charge a setup fee because we offer 1 month minimum contract.
Note that you may now migrate from an existing ADSL service to USP at reduced cost - although bear in mind that you may be tied into a minimum 12 month contract with your existing provider.

Let's be honest - such is the state of telecoms in the UK that there is still only one supplier of "last mile" or "tail" connectivity for ADSL circuits - BT: the company we all love to hate. However, these "tail" circuits are not all the same once they reach the local exchange, and BT is obliged by regulation to deliver the ADSL "tails" to other upstream connectivity providers who may then route them through their own networks. Responsibility is thus shared between BT and the upstream service provider. This means that the first line response is a 24x7 service from the upstream service provider, although the elements that BT are responsible for may only be covered 9-5, weekdays.

USP's broadband services are provided using the UK's leading Business Internet suppliers, offering a comprehensive range of Internet products & services for companies needing the best in Internet solutions. USP selects the best upstream service partnerships to complement the BT tail circuits, with internet services provided via a resilient national network, with multiple backbone connections and peering arrangements via national peering centres. The performance of this infrastructure (from both a hosting perspective and dial-up) is rated as one of the fastest and most reliable in the UK according to independent tests conducted by Internet Magazine and Server House (previously known as Zeus tests).

What is ADSL?
ADSL stands for "Asymmetrical Subscriber Digital Line", and is delivered over existing copper circuits. In areas provides by cable TV companies, you may have other choices, with broadband offerings from Telewest and NTL that are not ADSL, and only terminated at the cable companies' networks.

Why should you choose USP Networks?
Because USP promises you an authorised intelligent person every time you have a problem you want sorting out. We do not and will never use an automated telephone or email response system.
